March 29

Traffic Stop, 8:57 a.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 9:12 a.m., SW 11th Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Threats, 9:23 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Citizen called to discuss a vehicle that was parked in front of his property by a friend’s son’s friend.

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:36 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Abandoned vehicle on private property. Deputy provided ORS for private party tow.

Traffic Stop, 10:17 a.m., SW Linn Blvd./SW 10th Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and expired registration stickers, and warned for no front plate.

Theft, 10:21 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Citizen wanted to make additional statements on case 22-01172.

Traffic Stop, 10:27 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to renew vehicle registration and warned for no front plate.

Traffic Stop, 11:04 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended and warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 12:52 p.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Mill City transient, 25, arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was lodged at Linn County Jail. He was also cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Civil Dispute, 2:59 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Landlord of deceased tenant wanted to make contact with the family of the deceased to determine when the family wanted to remove the deceased belongings.

March 30

Prowler, 12:23 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. No prowlers located.

Traffic Stop, 758 a.m., SW Dogwood Street, Scio. Driver warned for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Traffic Stop, 8:42 a.m., Main and 13th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 9:05 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Recovered stolen vehicle from Stayton.

Warrant, 9:56 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Male, 45, of Mill City was arrested for an outstanding probation violation warrant.

Traffic Stop, 11:08 a.m., Ironwood Street, Lyons. Driver warned for following too close.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:27 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser property checking the Tree Farm and Roaring River mainline gates. Both gates secure.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:55 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Deputy checked on a vacant house. No signs of someone trespassing.

Robbery, 10:21 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Suspect walked into a business, pointed a gun at an employee and took a cash drawer. Estimated value of loss $1,389.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:17 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Caller requested an area check after seeing a vehicle parked near Gilkey Bridge.

March 31

Traffic Complaint, 9:25 a.m., Richardson Gap Road/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Driver cited for 68 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Criminal Mischief, 11:37 a.m., S First Street, Mill City. Male with warrant walked away before being served.

Warrant, 12:52 p.m., S First Street, Mill City. Male with warrant walked away before being served.

Dog Complaint, 1:49 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Caller reported a loose dog. Dog left caller’s location prior to deputy responding.

Intoxicated Subject, 6:56 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy was unable to locate.

Harassment, 7:49 p.m., SE Fifth Avenue, Scio. Subject verbally trespassed. Incident documented.

April 1

Stolen Vehicle, 7:43 a.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Stolen 1995 Honda Prelude was seen in the Lyons and Stayton area. Car recovered at weight scales on Highway 22. Owner retrieved vehicle. Ongoing investigation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:02 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Vehicle left before deputy arrived.

Criminal Mischief, 9:01 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Lock out.

Disturbance, 9:56 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Caller reported a disturbance over moving a trailer. Upon arrival, deputy learned there was no disturbance or crime.

Traffic Complaint, 10:41 a.m., Meridian Road/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Caller requested extra patrol for overweight log trucks.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:22 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Patrolled from USP on Weyeraeuser land to S Rock Creek on ODF land. No issues found.

Traffic Stop, 12:07 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for 76 MPH in 55 MPH zone and warned for failing to display the vehicle’s license plates.

Burglary, 12:55 p.m., Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Citizen reported unknown person(s) attempted to enter an unoccupied house.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:57 p.m., SW Second Avenue, Scio. Caller reported someone riding motorcycles in the park. Other witnesses stated they were riding on trails bordering along Thomas Creek. Motorcycles were gone upon deputies’ arrival.

Disturbance, 7:20 p.m., SW Fifth Avenue, Scio. Two males got into a disagreement. One male tried to leave and the other male tried to stop him.

Missing Person, 7:57 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Male was discharged from the hospital and did not go home. His apartment was checked and information passed to Stayton Police Department, who filed a missing persons report.

April 2

Noise Disturbance, 12:13 p.m., McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Caller reported audible alarm being heard at least once a month at the neighbor’s house. Deputies responded and learned the neighbor is working with the alarm company to resolve the issue.

Noise Disturbance, 1:01 p.m., Kapok Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to music complaint between neighbors. Caller advised music was turned down before deputy arrived.

Civil Dispute, 3:23 p.m., SW Fifth Avenue, Scio. Deputies assisted male with civil issues in regards to potential eviction.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11 p.m., Loma Drive, Scio. Owner was found and removed the vehicle.

April 3

Animal Complaint, 7:24 a.m., W McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. Deputy was dispatched to an injured deer. Deer was dispatched.

Counter Traffic, 12:29 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Civil issue between roommates. Deputies advised on eviction process.

Disturbance, 5:33 p.m., Thomas Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to a report of male who injured his hand after punching a door after an argument with his roommate. Medics assessed the minor cut to his hand. No crimes committed. Deputies cleared the scene.

Accident, 7:32 p.m., 25th Street, Lyons. Vehicle rolled slowly backwards into a ditch from a parked position. No property damage reported.

April 4

Dog Complaint, 1:47 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputy was unable to locate stray pit bull.

Abandoned Vehicle, 2:08 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Owner moved and left a vehicle. Deputy contacted vehicle owner who is coming back for it.

Domestic Disturbance, 3:04 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Male, 48, of Scio arrested for attempted assault 2 and menacing.

Neighborhood Dispute, 3:31 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Caller reported neighbors were looking over his fence. Neighbors were looking over the fence due to dogs barking nonstop. All parties talked to. Animal control on scene to handle dog issue. Dog owner issued a verbal warning regarding nuisance barking.

Warrant Service, 4:35 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Male, 48, of Scio cited on warrants.

Firework Complaint, 9:30 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies searched for fireworks in the Scio area. No audible or visible signs of fireworks were located.

April 5

Animal Complaint, 1:38 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies spoke with Mill City resident regarding ongoing neighbor dispute.

Extra Patrol, 5:11 a.m., SW Evergreen, NW Alder & NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted crime prevention patrol in Mill City at local schools, businesses and neighborhoods.
