June 12

Suspicious Circumstance, 10:06 a.m., Linnwood Drive, Gates. Caller reported a suspicious circumstance but called back and canceled deputies’ response. Deputy still checked area and all appeared well.

Disturbance, 5:22 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Juvenile drama over a break up.

Assist Other Agency, 5:29 p.m., Sixth Street, Lyons. Deputies assisted the fire department with an unconscious person. Person was transported to the hospital.

Suspicious Person, 5:32 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Suspicious male was knocking on the door of the fire department. Deputies checked area and did not find them.

June 13

Noise Disturbance, 12:07 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies responded to a noise complaint. Noise had stopped by the time deputies arrived. No enforcement action taken.

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:52 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy made phone contact with caller; nothing reported was suspicious. No further assistance necessary.

Traffic Stop, 9:59 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 58 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Threats, 4:18 p.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Possible threats call.

Civil Dispute, 5:47 p.m., Elm Street, Lyons. Civil dispute between contractors. Deputies attempted to mediate.

Accident, 6:18 p.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Male, 50, of Albany was arrested on a warrant and cited for driving while suspended after he crashed his car in the ditch to avoid a deer.

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:42 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Patrolled along Thomas Creek on Weyerhaeuser property. Security check on camp.

Extra Patrol, 10:09 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Traffic enforcement. Very light traffic. No warning, citations issued.

June 14

Extra Patrol, 12:22 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Neighborhood patrol of south Mill City. All seemed quiet and in good order.

Extra Patrol, 1:09 a.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Neighborhood patrol of north Mill City. All seemed quiet and in good order.

Park Patrol, 2:51 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Late night patrol of John Neal Park and surrounding park areas. All seemed quiet and in good order.June 14

Security Check, 7:01 a.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Deputies conducted focused safety patrols for Scio School District.

Animal Complaint, 5:37 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Loose cow. Cow was secured in pasture upon deputies’ arrival.

Domestic Disturbance, 6:43 p.m., Lui Lane/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. A couple got into a verbal argument over missing a Top Gun moving showing.

Traffic Stop, 8:27 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 8:35 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Traffic enforcement. No citations issued.

Extra Patrol, 11:20 p.m., SE Grove Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted a high-visibility patrol of the entirety of Mill City multiple times throughout the majority of the power outage.

June 15

Extra Patrol, 12:14 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Extra patrol of Lyons.

Extra Patrol, 2:20 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Extra patrol at US Bank per its request. Only the local cat found within the ATM doors.

Threats, 8:30 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to a threat call between two students. Information was documented and will be sent for Juvenile Department to review.

Traffic Stop, 8:32 a.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Dog Complaint, 10:34 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy attempted contact with dog owner to address possible dog violations.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:04 a.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Deputy responded to a found property call. Deputy collected property and disposed of it.

Dog Complaint, 1:03 p.m., SW Spring Street, Mill City. Dog owner issued written warning for dog as a public nuisance.

Marine Patrol, 3:12 p.m., Hess Road, Scio. Marine patrol on Santiam River.

Assault, 5:13 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller was contacted. Photographs were taken of injuries. More investigation to follow.

Traffic Stop, 7:25 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver cited for 74 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 9:09 p.m., Crabtree Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for violation of basic rule.

June 16

Extra Patrol, 11:22 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Scio high, middle and grade school patrol for last day of school.

Extra Patrol, 3:19 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol of Santiam schools for the last day of class.

Forest Timber Patrol, 6:40 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to area to fix an issue with the gate lock.

Harassment, 7:57 p.m., SE Mountain Avenue, Idanha. Caller wanted an issue documented of an incident that occurred at the Post Office.

June 17

Forgery, 9:33 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies investigated a forgery and burglary at a business.

Disturbance, 2:07 p.m., SW Linn Place, Mill City. Deputies responded to a family dispute which was resolved with hugging between family members.

Park Patrol, 5:05 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputies walked the park and found no issues.

Forest Timber Patrol, 6:01 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser land and checked on SAR camp.

Civil Dispute, 6:11 p.m., SW Alder Street, Scio. Civil issue over ownership of a car. Both parties were advised to take it up in civil court.

Forest Timber Patrol, 10:07 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Patrolled BLM property.

June 18

Wanted Subject, 9:30 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Deputies conducted an investigation into a wanted individual.

Shots Heard, 2:49 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to shots heard call. No evidence of a crime was observed.

Welfare Check, 5:33 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Citizen had questions about blocked numbers.

Shots Heard, 5:43 p.m., Greenway Drive, Gates. Deputy attempted contact with an individual attempting to make a report. Individual was unable to be reached.

Disturbance, 6:30 p.m., SE Sixth Avenue/SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Juveniles allegedly pushed by other juveniles at Kimmel Park. Incident was documented.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:24 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy located dumped vehicle on private property.

Traffic Complaint, 11:20 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Report of a side-by-side possibly being operated in the roadway. Deputies contacted the owner who said they did not operate in the roadway but did get close a few times.

June 19

Extra Patrol, 1:08 a.m., Hess Road, Scio. Extra patrol at Buell Boat Ramp. Nothing to report.

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:48 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Juvenile believes her alcoholic beverage was spiked at a juvenile party. Urine analysis showed no suspicious toxins.

Animal Complaint, 12:49 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputies dispatched an injured deer.

Forest Timber Patrol, 4:24 p.m., Tree Farm Road, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser, Avery and BLM properties. Nothing to report.

Forest Timber Patrol, 5:54 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Patrolled Avery, Weyerhaeuser and BLM properties. Checked on SAR camp. No issues found.

Suspicious Circumstance, 6:53 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Female loaned her friend her car and he hadn’t returned it yet. Duo worked the situation out civilly.

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:34 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser property.

June 20

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:05 a.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Deputies unable to locate third-hand information of a crashed motorcycle.

Extra Patrol, 4:18 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Late night patrol of John Neal Park and surrounding park areas. All seemed quiet and in good order.
