Friday, Aug. 26

SES Work Party – 9 a.m. – noon, Santiam Elementary, 450 SW Evergreen St., Mill City. Help spread bark dust, update parts on playground equipment, move and anchor play structures, and general preparations to make sure the campus is ready for students. Refreshments and snacks.

Teen Game Day – 1 p.m., Santiam Outreach Community Center, 280 NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Youth age 12 and older are welcome for games, snacks, competitions. Back to school event with backpacks & supplies and cake and ice cream. Hosted by HOME Youth Services.

Movies at the Station – dusk, Lyons Fire Station, 1114 Main St. Come watch “The Sandlot” outside at the station. Fire station personnel provides boxes for children to decorate and sit in during the movie. Boxes are limited and are given out on a fist come first served basis. Adults should bring blankets or chairs. No public restrooms available. 503-859-2410
