Suspicious Circumstances, 7:04 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputy checked on house with open garage.

Traffic Stop, 8:03 a.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 8:25 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Accident, 9:05 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy assisted with traffic control at a non-injury crash until cleared.

Theft, 9:57 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies investigated theft of $350 light bar and two $6 hubcaps off a vehicle.

Burglary, 11:02 a.m., W McCully Mountain Drive, Lyons. Deputies responded to a burglary call. Theft was previously reported but the owner wanted to report more missing belongings.

Trespass, 11:47 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Civil dispute over deceased’s property.

Traffic Stop, 4:01 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver warned for speeding violation.

Animal Complaint, 4:13 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies stopped for a dog in the road. The dog was returned to its owner.

Traffic Stop, 4:55 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 7:43 a.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Second Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for improper display.

Threats, 11:18 a.m., 14th Street, Lyons. Deputy advised caller about blocking phone contact from a person making threats.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:34 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Camp was found and campers were packed and leaving by the time the deputy left the area.

Extra Patrol, 1:33 p.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Deputy assisted with school lockdown drill.

Theft, 1:40 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Theft of 1959 Chrysler four-door sedan ($4,500), blue New Holland tractor ($25,000), Kubota compact excavator ($10,000) and a fifth-wheel trailer ($1,000). Items last seen on Nov. 1, 2022 and were noticed missing on May 7, 2023.

Suspicious Circumstances, 1:46 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies checked on skid marks reported by a citizen.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:40 a.m., Sixth Street, Lyons. Deputies checked on a parked vehicle in gravel lot.

Traffic Stop, 11:45 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Mowitch Street, Lyons. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 12:25 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Mowitch St., Lyons. Male, 40, was arrested on a Marion County warrant.

Traffic Stop, 1:51 p.m., Montgomery Drive/Farris Road, Scio. Driver warned for expired tags.

Water Rescue, 2:34 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Female rescued from tree roots in the river.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:08 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Caller reported trespassers at the rock pit. North Santiam Paving said they didn’t want charges and would talk to employees about running people off.

Noise Disturbance, 4:31 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Working with city on city ordinances.

Suspicious Person, 6:42 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Male, 46, of Mill City was cited in lieu of custody for a Mill City Municipal Court warrant.

Person Assist, 7:48 p.m., Highway 22, Gates. Person was stuck behind a gate that was open for public use earlier in the day. Deputies were able to open the gate.

Suspicious Circumstances, 10:17 p.m., SW Swift and SW Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Information logged for caller.

May 11

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:01 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies responded to abandoned vehicle on private property and advised property owners what to do.

Civil Dispute, 10:10 a.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Deputies help calm a civil dispute.

Traffic Stop, 11:15 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Driver warned for expired registration.

Accident, 1:25 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver cited for careless driving and failure to maintain lanes.

Trespass, 6:42 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Male, 55, of Salem was arrested and lodged for Oregon State Parole Board warrant and Linn County Circuit Court warrant.

Criminal Mischief, 6:46 p.m., NW Alder Street, Scio. Deputies took a criminal mischief report after learning someone’s vehicle was damaged overnight.

May 12

Theft, 9:26 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Stolen tools and tool box form a truck.

Neighborhood Dispute, 10:20 a.m., Rodgers Drive, Scio. Caller was concerned regarding environmental hazards from a neighbor digging in his yard. Caller was provided contact information for the Department of Environmental Quality.

Traffic Stop, 11:28 a.m., Highway 226/SE Fifth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 12:53 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Criminal Mischief, 3:16 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Spark plug wires were cut on a truck. No suspects.

Traffic Stop, 3:41 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 4:15 p.m., 25th Street/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Assist Other Agency, 4:49 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputies assisted DHS in serving paperwork.

Neighborhood Dispute, 5:09 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputies spoke with a man regarding a neighborhood dispute.

Suspicious Circumstances, 9:15 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Caller reported hearing someone in distress. Fire department responded and were unable to find anyone in trouble.

Traffic Stop, 11:26 p.m., Porter Street, Lebanon. Male, 43, of Scio was taken into custody for multiple outstanding warrants. He was also cited for driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured and failure to drive within lane.

May 13

Animal Complaint, 9:08 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies assisted a farmer get a cow unstuck from the mud.

Criminal Mischief, 12:22 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Caller reported an issue with a mining claim on BLM.

Suspicious Vehicle, 2:13 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Deputies checked on a vehicle parked on the side of the road.

Warrant, 3:06 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Road, Scio. Male, 50, of Salem was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody on a failure to appear warrant out of Monmouth Municipal Court.

Trespass, 5:44 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Female, 31, of Stayton was arrested and issued a citation in lieu of custody for a Linn County warrant for criminal trespassing.

Water Rescue, 7:01 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. No individuals were injured.

Trespass, 8:14 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Caller reported ex-employee trespassing.

Sex Offense, 8:43 p.m., Birch Street, Lyons. Deputy responded to a report of a sex offense. Ongoing investigation.

May 14

Found Person, 3:18 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy provided an elderly female a courtesy ride to her residence.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:05 a.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Deputy checked on vehicle with female from a disturbance the previous day. Everyone was good.

Traffic Stop, 8:31 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for unreadable plate.

Traffic Stop, 8:43 a.m., Jefferson-Scio and Garden drives, Scio. Driver warned for moving violation.

Disturbance, 10:58 a.m., SW Douglas Street, Mill City. Deputy spoke with a male about where to put his trash.

Traffic Complaint, 2:54 p.m., Shoreline Drive/Fishermans Road, Lyons. Deputy spoke to a driver about a speeding complaint against them.

Suspicious Person, 3:31 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy provided male a courtesy ride.

Assist Other Agency, 5:44 p.m., Rodger Mountain Loop/Sledge Road, Scio. Deputy assisted with traffic control for fire.

Animal Complaint, 6:19 p.m., SW Second Avenue/SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller called about a loose cow. Owner was working on locating the cow.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:13 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy spoke to caller about concerns of suspicious activity at a nearby house.

May 15

Theft, 3:03 a.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputy spoke to a caller about a stolen item. Caller believes the item was to be returned today and did not wish to pursue charges if the item was returned.

Sex Offender Registration, 9:29 a.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies conducted sex offender compliance check.

Hit and Run, 10:11 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies directed individual to right agency to report possible hit and run from week prior.

Traffic Stop, 10:25 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Warrant, 3:24 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Juvenile arrested on outstanding warrant.
