Found Property, 8:40 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputies delivered package to rightful owner found on side of roadway.

Traffic Stop, 9:28 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/SW 11th Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for illegal display of license plates.

Traffic Stop, 1:43 p.m., SW 11th Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured and failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 2:29 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver was warned for window tint 15% and illegal display of license plate.

Warrant, 2:30 p.m., Rock Creek Road/Pebble Drive, Gates. Male, 50, of Sheridan arrested for a parole warrant. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Traffic Stop, 2:49 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Warned for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 3:17 p.m., Main and 19th streets, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended and 55 MPH in 35 MPH zone.

Disturbance, 7:06 p.m., SE Second and SE Kingwood avenues, Mill City. Deputy attempted to locate juvenile that was calling about an adult chasing him for calling his child names. No crimes reported.

Extra Patrol, 7:19 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Extra Halloween patrols. Deputies were impressed by the costumes, especially the ones dressed as donuts.

Accident, 8:53 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Montgomery Drive, Scio. Truck slid into the ditch while making a slow turn.

Suspicious Circumstances, 11:53 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies checked local business that was having difficulties with security system.

Nov. 1

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:48 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputy checked on vehicle parked in strange location. Nothing suspicious. No crimes.

Trespass, 1:53 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy responded to a report of a dog and dog owner trespassing on private property.

Fraud, 4:06 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy responded to a fraud report.

Traffic Stop, 8:18 p.m., NW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Driver cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended violation.

Disturbance, 9:19 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies advised a male he was trespassed from a residence without issue.

Nov. 2

Traffic Stop, 2:57 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to renew vehicle registration.

Warrant, 3:04 a.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Male, 27, of Mill City was arrested on a Mill City Municipal Court warrant.

Traffic Stop, 3:16 a.m., Main Street/Apple Loop, Lyons. Driver warned for failure to maintain lane.

Suicidal Subject, 4:36 a.m., 25th Street, Lyons. Deputies contacted male who was reportedly suicidal. Male stated he was not suicidal and he had no intentions of harming himself.

Mental Health, 4:04 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted a citizen who wanted to vent about their daily struggles.

Trespass, 4:26 p.m., Thomas Drive, Scio. Deputy was unable to locate suspicious vehicle.

Domestic Disturbance, 6:41 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies received a report of a verbal altercation. Deputies searched the area for the vehicle and were unable to locate.

Domestic Disturbance, 7:39 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. No crimes were disclosed.

Traffic Stop, 7:58 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Male, 50, of Crabtree was arrested for an outstanding warrant and failure to carry or present a license. He was cited for driving while suspended violation, driving uninsured, failure to register vehicle and illegal alteration/display of plates.

Warrant, 7:59 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Male, 51, of Albany was cited on warrants.

Nov. 3

Forest Timber Patrol, 7:05 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio.

Littering Violation, 8:25 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy found abandoned campsite on Upper Neal Creek. Suspect was identified by mail, hunting tags left at scene.

Threats, 8:35 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported concerning statements her son made.

Traffic Stop, 1:08 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 1:21 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 2:35 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Third avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 2:59 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Warrant, 4:02 p.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Third Avenue, Mill City. Female, 28, of Mill City was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, 4:28 p.m., SE Kingwood and S First avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for 44 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 5:08 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 5:33 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Fifth avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Suspicious Person, 6:05 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Reporting party called regarding a suspicious person. Deputies contacted the person and learned he was offering a quote for tree services. Non-criminal.

Business Check, 9:05 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputies conducted check of open business.

Traffic Stop, 9:21 p.m., SW Third Avenue/SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Traffic Stop, 9:34 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

911 Hangup, 11:24 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Accidental.

Suspicious Person, 11:36 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Caller saw wanted subject. Subject was gone when deputy arrived.

Nov. 5

Assist Other Agency, 1:08 a.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputy assisted agency in locating female associated with DUI crash on Highway 22.

Welfare Check, 1:36 a.m., SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Deputy assisted an elderly male with dementia locate his home and got him home.

Noise Disturbance, 2:15 a.m., SW Filbert Street/SW Second Avenue, Scio. Report of loud music. It was quiet upon deputies’ arrival.

Suicidal Subject, 11:17 a.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Family called with concerns about a male being suicidal. Deputies spoke with the male who stated he was not feeling suicidal but did agree to go to the hospital with family.

Animal Complaint, 3:01 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Caller reported seeing a large bird in the road, possibly injured. Deputies were unable to locate the bird.

Shots Heard, 4:09 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Bilyeu Creek Road, Scio. Caller reported hearing several gunshots in a legal shooting area. No crimes were reported.

Suicidal Subject, 4:21 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies spoke with a male who was suicidal. Male willingly went to the hospital with family.

Suspicious Person, 7:10 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to call of persistent salesman. Salesman left area before deputies arrived.

Suspicious Person, 7:17 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to call of persistent salesman. Salesman left area before deputies arrived.

Traffic Stop, 9:20 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Nov. 6

Extra Patrol, 3:37 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Crime prevention patrols at park, schools and businesses. 

Welfare Check, 9:54 a.m., Sixth Street, Lyons. Deputies responded to check on welfare of a male subject in a vehicle. Male was gone upon arrival.

Extra Patrol, 11:14 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Scio High School. Nothing suspicious found.

Traffic Stop, 11:21 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive/W Scio Road, Scio. Driver warned for failure to register vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 11:32 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Centennial Elementary School. Nothing suspicious found.
