Santiam Hospital fun runs set for 35th year

The Santiam Hospital & Clinics fun runs and health walks are set for Saturday, June 1 in Stayton. This is the 35th rendition of the event, which now includess four offerings, a 5-kilometer walk and 3K, 5K and 10K runs. 

All events start and finish at 8:30 a.m. at the hospital, 1401 N 10th Ave. 

Events cost $15 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under, and online race registration ends at 3 p.m. March 30. Race-day registration and packet pickup begins at 7 a.m. on June 1. 

A family of four can register for $40, with the entrance fee including free T-shirts. Families can pick up a paper copy of the application at the hospital. Registration is also available online at

Music, food, keepsakes, beverages and a beer garden will be on-site for post race celebrations.
