May 25

Dog Complaint, 10:23 a.m., SW Elderberry Street, Scio. Deputies located dogs at large. Owners were verbally warned for dog at large.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 2:17 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. 

Suspicious Vehicle, 5:35 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Vehicle with no plates parked on private property. Vehicle was not reported stolen. Caller advised of the 72-hour tow removal process.

Sex Offense, 9 p.m., Cole School Road, Scio. Citizen was concerned about a sex offender’s restrictions.

Welfare Check, 10:55 p.m., Pyramid Ridge Road, Idanha. Male requested a welfare check on his brother who was hunting. Deputy checked area but did not locate brother, vehicle, or camp.

May 26

Traffic Stop, 1:07 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Fifth avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 1:38 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Suspicious Circumstances, 2 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies contacted an injured male who reportedly jumped out of a moving vehicle because of an argument. Male denied all medical treatment. Deputies suggested the male never jump out of a moving vehicle again.

Traffic Stop, 2:20 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 3:08 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 58 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 3:25 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violations.

Traffic Stop, 3:40 p.m., Robinson Drive. Driver warned for expired tags.

Parking Complaint, 4:17 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. A couple was warned for parking in a no-parking zone.

Traffic Stop, 4:53 p.m., SE Second Avenue/SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 6:33 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue. Driver warned for speed.

Warrant, 6:43 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Female, 30, of Mill City, was issued an arrest citation for a failure to appear warrant.

Warrant, 7:23 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Male, 30, of Mill City, arrested, cited and released on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for driving while suspended.

Warrant, 8:04 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Attempted warrant service. Subject not located.

Warrant, 8:18 p.m., SE Grove Street, Mill City. Attempted warrant service. Subject not located.

Warrant, 8:59 p.m., SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Attempted warrant service. Subject was not at home.

Assist Other Agency, 12:53 a.m., Kingston-Jordan Road. Request from Stayton Police Department regarding shooting in the area. Deputy responded and did not find any signs.

Traffic Stop, 8:05 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 8:29 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Fifth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 10:51 a.m., SE Kingwood and SE Third avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to register vehicle.

Illegal Camping, 10:55 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive. Deputies contacted female and advised her to move along.

Animal Complaint, 10:57 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Aggressive dog. Owner warned for dog at large.

Extra Patrol, 7:59 a.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputy walked around Santiam Jr./Sr. High and spoke with staff and students.

Threats, 2:58 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Issues over property lines and feeling threatened by a weed eater.

Traffic Stop, 3:06 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for failing to renew tags and warned for unsecured load.

Traffic Stop, 3:44 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended.

Traffic Stop, 3:57 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Warrant, 4:58 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Male, 32, of Gates was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, 6:34 p.m., SW Cedar Street/SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Male, 30, of Mill City, cited in lieu of custody for driving while suspended misdemeanor.

Assault, 7:30 p.m., Cole School Road, Scio. Male, 35, of Stayton, was arrested and lodged in Linn County Jail for robbery in the third degree, assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief in the first degree.
