June 6

Animal Complaint, 9:26 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputy seized two stray sheep as no owner could be located.

Animal Complaint, 12:16 p.m., Fish Hatchery and Oupor drives, Scio. Deputy conducted a welfare check on sheep and spoke to owner about limping sheep.

Threats, 6:26 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy took report of menacing.

Person Assist, 6:32 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy had conversation with a citizen who has made a habit of calling dispatch asking for courtesy rides. Citizen was told to find different arrangements.

June 7

Threats, 7:56 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Caller reported harassment via Facebook. Non-criminal.

Welfare Check, 5:52 p.m., Highway 226, Lyons. Deputies assisted parental guardian in retrieving their child.

DUII, 9:27 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy checked area for reported intoxicated driver. Person was not located and no signs of a crash were observed.

June 8

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:03 a.m., NW Beech Street/NW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputies stopped and spoke with occupants of a vehicle in the middle of the road. Occupants were advised not to do so.

Suspicious Person, 1:45 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies stopped to speak with an unhappy citizen.

Fraud, 5:04 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Couple attempted to pass fake $100 bill at local stores.

Accident, 3:57 p.m., N Main Street/NE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputy spoke with citizen who was involved in a minor, non-injury motor vehicle crash.

Noise Disturbance, 9:13 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Report of neighbors being loud.

Suspicious Person, 10:53 p.m., Blowout Road, Idanha. Deputies contacted person trespassing incampground, and gave person a courtesy ride to town.

June 9

Motorist Assist, 1 p.m., SW Tuers Lane/SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for driving beyond a gate marked authorized vehicles only.

Criminal Mischief, 5:48 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Citizen gave information regarding eggings around Mill City.

Assist Other Agency, 6:21 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Deputies investigated a possible harassment case that took place in Marion County. 

Accident, 6:37 p.m., Quartzville Road, Idanha. Operator of a motorcycle swerved around gravel on the road, tipped his bike and appeared to have a broken ankle. Lyons Fire Department transported to the hospital.

Suspicious Circumstances, 7:10 p.m., Highway 22, Gates. MCSO and LCSO worked on overdue rafters. MSCO located them, uninjured but cold.

June 10

Violation of Order, 7:44 a.m., NW River Drive, Mill City. Caller reported a male was violating his probation. Deputies arrived and were unable to locate male.

Traffic Stop, 8:59 a.m., S First Avenue/SE Grove Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Accident, 9:06 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Single-vehicle, non-injury crash.

Hit and Run, 9:24 a.m., NW River Road, Mill City. Deputies responded and learned the driver of the vehicle was trying to run over a female with her vehicle. Driver did not hit female but did hit the house. Driver then fled the scene. Ongoing investigation.

DUII, 4:35 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Male, 58, of Salem, was arrested for DUII and reckless driving after a crash investigation.

Suspicious Person, 5:29 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Caller reported suspicious male and female. Deputies were unable to locate.

June 11

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:39 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputy contacted female sleeping in car and advised to move along.

Traffic Stop, 11:23 a.m., SW Ivy Street/SW High Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for 36 MPH in 25 MPH zone.

Traffic Hazard, 11:28 a.m., Myers Place, Scio. Trailer owner arrived on scene and removed the trailer.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:09 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputy contacted couple living in car and moved them along.

Phone Harassment, 4:23 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Caller received unsolicited and unwanted picture from male. Caller wanted it documented.

Warrant, 5:21 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Male, 48, of Salem was cited in lieu of custody on an outstanding warrant.

Hit and Run, 6:51 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Gates. Deputy documented information regarding vehicle “bumping” into individual on private property.

June 12

Trespass, 9:06 a.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Caller reported persons were trespassing on his father’s property and he had court papers to prove the trespass. It was determined the court process was incomplete and no one was trespassing. Caller was advised on the steps needed to finish the eviction process with the court.

Theft, 4:06 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Caller reported license plate stolen from vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 5:46 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Driver warned for unsignaled turn.

June 13

Parking Complaint, 8:35 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Deputy responded to parking complaint and owner moved his vehicle.

Assault, 3:35 p.m., SW Linn Place, Mill City. Male, 20, of Mill City, was arrested for domestic assault IV. Female, 45, of Mill City, was arrested for domestic assault II.

Traffic Stop, 10:48 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver cited for speed.

Traffic Stop, 11:11 p.m., SW Sixth Avenue, Scio. Driver warned for several equipment violations on vehicle purchased that day.

Traffic Stop, 11:20 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

June 14

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:31 p.m., Eighth and Main streets, Lyons. Deputies check on RV parked on property. RV was intentionally parked there.

Suspicious Circumstances, 4:49 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to suspicious blood along the river. It was fish guts.

Disturbance, 10:19 p.m., Sixth Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated neighborhood dispute that turned into a disturbance. Parties involved did not request to press harassment charges on either party.

June 15

Civil Dispute, 11:08 a.m., SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Caller had questions about threats made to her and her rights regarding residential property she and her ex own together. Threats were not criminal and she was given information regarding her rights along with how to file a restraining order and contact information for CARDV.

Disturbance, 3:56 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Callers chickens were killed.

Noise Disturbance, 9:52 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Deputies responded. Homeowner decided to turn down music.

Noise Disturbance, 10:25 p.m., Ede Road, Scio. Music was turned off prior to deputy intervention or request.

June 16

Suspicious Circumstances, 12:57 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. No signs of distress were observed at residence.

Suspicious Vehicle, 3:07 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Unoccupied vehicle in park after hours.

Forest Timber Patrol, 3:14 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Bilyeu Creek Road, Scio. Deputy patrolled popular party spot. All was quiet.

Disturbance, 8:07 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Deputy responded to disturbance regarding male attempting to push victim in a ditch while traveling in vehicles.

Traffic Stop, 9:47 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for no plates.
