Traffic Complaint, 8:07 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy spoke with citizen regarding traffic complaints.

Theft, 8:44 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Civil dispute regarding real estate signage.

Fraud, 12:16 p.m., SW First Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported $259.94 of fraudulent charges.

Missing Person, 1:27 p.m., SW Filbert Street, Scio. Scio resident, 41, listed as missing.

Extra Patrol, 3:47 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Extra patrol due to speeders.

Juvenile Complaint, 5:13 p.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Report of rowdy group at the river. Non-criminal.

Traffic Stop, 6:20 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Assist Other Agency, 11:13 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies responded to assist Scio Fire Department with a call.

June 18

Traffic Stop, 12:04 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Hazard, 12:15 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy provided traffic control for a tow truck driver.

Traffic Hazard, 2:04 a.m., E Gates Bridge, Gates. Caller reported suspicious looking vehicle. Vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.

Runaway, 9:03 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Juvenile listed as runaway.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:01 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputy responded to a reported suspicious vehicle and found it was already gone.

Motorist Assist, 1:44 p.m., Lulay Road, Scio. USIC vehicle stuck behind gate.

Trespass, 1:59 p.m., SE Mountain Avenue, Idanha. Deputy spoke to caller about civil issues.

Traffic Complaint, 3:12 p.m., Robinson Drive/Goar Road, Scio. Deputy received traffic complaint. Information noted.

Illegal Camping, 8:12 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Unoccupied, recreational, illegal camp at Mud Puppy Lake. Deputy left notes letting them know it was not a camping area. 

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:49 p.m., Goar Road, Scio. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle left area prior to deputies’ arrival.

June 19

Traffic Stop, 12:33 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Male, 38, of Turner was arrested for having a stolen trailer. Male’s vehicle was towed as a nuisance.

Warrant, 12:45 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Male, 22, of Sweet Home was arrested on five warrants.

Traffic Stop, 3:36 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Domestic Disturbance, 8:26 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Physical altercation between female and juvenile. Juvenile was arrested and transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention for assault 4 – domestic.

Assist Other Agency, 10:01 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Assisted Independence Police Department.

Warrant, 12:47 p.m., 25th Street, Lyons. Male, 47, of Lyons was arrested on an outstanding warrant and lodged at LCJ.

Hit and Run, 2:25 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Vehicle struck the rear of a parked Lyons Fire Department vehicle and fled the scene. Ongoing investigation.

Found Dog, 4:50 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Caller found a dog approximately 2 miles up Monument Peak. Deputy transported dog to Linn County Animal Control.

Littering Violation, 5:57 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Jordan Road, Scio. Deputy responded to littering violation report and did not observe any garbage on the road.

Illegal Camping, 8:03 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy gave courtesy ride to male camping in a city park.

June 20

Trespass, 7:46 a.m., Juniper Street, Lyons. Caller reported trespassers on neighboring property. Deputy arrived and learned it was friends of property owner.

Warrant, 9:03 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Male, 70, of Lyons was cited in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

Warrant, 9:49 a.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Male, 39, of Lyons was cited for a warrant and failure to register as a sex offender.

Traffic Stop, 10:32 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 11:02 a.m., Highway 22/NE Alder Street, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, failure to renew vehicle registration and failure to install IID.

Traffic Stop, 11:05 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 11:39 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 11:47 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Warrant, 11:56 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Male, 37, of Gates was arrested on outstanding warrant and transported to Marion County Jail.

Traffic Stop, 12:16 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Male, 60, of Mill City was arrested for a Mill City Municipal Court warrant. He was also cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 3:27 p.m., N First Avenue/NE Wall Street, Mill City. Driver was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Warrant, 3:54 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Male, 28, of Mill City was cited in lieu of custody on outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, 3:57 p.m., NE Third Avenue, Mill City. Male, 23, of Mill City was arrested and lodged in jail on a Montana warrant. He was also cited for driving while suspended.

Illegal Camping, 4:08 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Illegal camp warned for overstaying 14-day camping limit.

Traffic Stop, 4:10 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Suspicious Circumstances, 6:12 p.m., SW Second Avenue/SW Gingko Street, Scio. Deputy responded to a suspicious circumstance and spoke with caller about parenting issues she observed.

Trespass, 7:17 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Caller had questions regarding river use along private property.

Traffic Stop, 7:36 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Driver was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

June 21

Theft, 4:46 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Deputy took a report of theft where a male stole alcohol from a convenience store.

Criminal Mischief, 8:37 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputy responded to reported vehicle window being shattered. Report taken. Ongoing investigation.

Suspicious Person, 11:22 a.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. Caller reported suspicious male in area. Deputy was unable to locate anyone.

UEMV, 12:38 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Caller’s vehicle was entered and an attempt was made to steal it. A piece of metal broke off inside the ignition. Estimated $200 or more to repair.

Traffic Stop, 3:06 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Fourth avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 3:33 p.m., SW Broadway Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired temp tag.

Traffic Stop, 3:58 p.m., SW Broadway Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Warned for temp tag violation – display.

Theft, 4:09 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy took report of theft and criminal mischief.

Traffic Stop, 4:11 p.m., SW Broadway Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for expired tags.

Accident, 4:13 p.m., Highway 226/Jordan Road, Scio. Non-injury.

Traffic Stop, 4:37 p.m., SW Broadway Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended – violation, driving without insurance and expired tags. Vehicle was not towed.

Threats, 5:25 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Report of two juveniles together, who were reportedly not supposed to be together. Deputies were unable to locate record of the restriction.

Missing Person, 6 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Person reported to be possibly missing. It was learned another law enforcement agency contacted the male and arrested him for DUII before giving him a ride home.

Illegal Camping, 8:58 p.m., NE Santiam Pointe Loop, Mill City. Report of illegal camper. Deputy was unable to locate.

Disturbance, 9 p.m., Blowout Road, Idanha. Disturbance occurred with possible physical harassment. Victim did not want to press charges.

June 22

Fraud, 10:04 a.m., SE Willow Street, Idanha. Caller wanted to complain regarding scam phone calls. Non-criminal.

Shots Heard, 12:51 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive/Jordan Road, Scio. Caller reported someone shooting unsafely. Deputy attempted phone contact and checked area but was unable to contact caller or the would-be suspects.

Suspicious Circumstances, 5:42 p.m., SE Fairview Street/SE Remine Road, Mill City. Report kids driving in the dust may have left a friend behind.

Accident, 11 p.m., Jefferson-Scio and Robinson drives, Scio. One patient transported before LCSO arrived due to number of priority calls.

June 23

Traffic Stop, 2:08 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for illegal display of expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 2:16 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Cited for expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 2:29 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City. Driver warned for illegal display of expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 2:42 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for illegal window tinting.

Traffic Stop, 2:59 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for expired registration.

DUI, 3:04 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Deputy was unable to locate vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 3:15 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd./NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Warned for child safety belt violation.

Traffic Stop, 3:34 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for expired registration.

Trespass, 3:39 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Caller reported female trespassing on school grounds.

Warrant, 3:49 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male, 33, of Newberg was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of Newberg Municipal Court. He was cited for driving while suspended violation and expired registration.
